NetPilot's Anti-Spam functionality is part of a range of NetPilot UTM Services, taking on essential tasks on behalf of the whole organisation. These operate at the gateway between the Internet and your organisation's own internal network. UTM Services include Anti Virus Scanning for both email and browser borne viruses, URL filtering to ensure the content being viewed by your staff is suitable, as well as IDS/IPS, depending from the choice of the UTM Package.

NetPilot offers a two layered approach with Anti-Spam controls, with both having been integrated to provide common controls and reporting. Firstly by adding the Anti-Spam License the NetPilot provides Spam assessment and Spam Cop together with Bayesian learning, giving a powerful combination of standard spam countermeasures. In addition, if the Email Policy is applied to the NetPilot this can additionally provide additional quarantine, black and white listing, and much greater flexibility to handle spam.
