Manually Applied Software Downloads

The following software for your NetPilot or SoHoBlue unit may be manually downloaded to your PC and then applied to your unit. Firstly check what software you are currently running and and then select the appropriate download from those listed below:

Firmware upgrade v6.1.15:v6.2.8 -> v6.2.12

This upgrade takes users that are running versions in the range V6.1.15 to V6.2.8 up to the latest (as of Feb-17) V6.2.12 – the download to your PC is about 274MB and will take 10 minutes or so to download, depending on your broadband speed.

Firmware upgrade v6.2.9:v6.2.11 -> v6.2.12

This upgrade takes users that are running versions in the range V6.2.9 to V6.2.11 up to the latest (as of Feb-17) V6.2.12 – the download to your PC is about 199MB and will take 10 minutes or so to download, depending on your broadband speed.

Remember!

  • When you apply the upgrade the unit will reboot.
  • The unit must NOT be switched off during the upgrade process.

 

Some of the enhancements in V6.2.12

  • Spam rules are now updated on a daily basis, or as required.
  • The Intrusion  Detection Engine (IDS) has been upgraded.
  • IDS rules are now updated on a daily basis, or as required.
  • The IDS user interface and configuration has been significantly simplified. There are now two levels of IDS – “standard” and “enhanced”.  We suggest that most administrators leave the level set to “standard”.   IDS logging has also been simplified and streamlined.
